Trenport Investments Ltd

Trenport Investments Limited is the principal residential landholding and development company within the Ellerman Investments Group. The Group has been built up over the past 40 years and has an established track record of successful commercial and industrial developments throughout the UK.

Supporting our Local Communities

Trenport is a close neighbour to several towns and villages on both sides of the River Medway. Supporting our local community has always been important to us. As well as our close links with local borough, town and parish councils and their Members, as a direct result of our membership and involvement with local partnerships, we are able to dedicate time and resources to a wide range of initiatives that bring real improvements to communities and the lives of local people.

The Valley of Visions Landscape Partnership

The company is one of the partners of this Heritage Lottery funded project which works to preserve and enhance the landscape, wildlife, heritage and access of the Medway Gap, whilst encouraging local people to learn about, conserve and celebrate their local area. Together we have made significant improvements to nature reserves to preserve wildlife habitats. We are also members of the Securing the Landscape Project, a ground-breaking partnership of key organisations including Kent Police and landowners, to tackle anti-social issues in rural areas. Through joint working, we have committed time and staffing to address problems and help protect the countryside.

The Snodland Partnership

Established nearly 14 years ago, the Partnership has an on-going action plan to fund improvements for the town's residents. These include an enhanced town centre scheme including CCTV, the funding of 'The Beat Project' and appointment of a Community Development worker for the town, the refurbishment of the once overgrown Snodland wildlife sanctuary which is now open for group visits, a ball park for young people, the purchase of a community minibus and apprenticeship grants for school leavers to help them kick-start their careers. In all cases the chosen projects reflect the community's own priorities.

The Halling Association

The Halling Association works in a very similar way to the Snodland Partnership with the aim to improve the quality of life for the parish's residents and to enhance the local environment. The Association supports new projects and makes grants to local groups such as sponsorship of the popular Halling Fun Weekend which draws hundreds of residents each year. Other projects include repairs and improvements to the village halls, a new war memorial and planting scheme at Forge Green and a new multi-purpose games area and youth shelter in the recreation ground. Working with the Valley of Visions team, the Bishop's Palace site will soon be renovated to provide peaceful enjoyment of the area's heritage.
